Agnes became a registered yoga teacher when she trained abroad in India. This experience has provided her with a variety of skills that incorporate concepts from yoga philosophy, breathing techniques, mindfulness, and utilizes helpful poses to aid in treating individuals with trauma, depression, anxiety, and stress-related disorders.

Agnes has held a position as a behavior therapist, employing a behavior modification program for children with ADHD and Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy (ABA), for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Agnes has also assisted adults and young adults with depression and anxiety diagnoses in an outpatient setting. She has also provided a high level of care for adolescents and their families with substance disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, eating disorders, personality disorders, trauma, and family issues in an intensive outpatient setting.

Agnes incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and play therapy in her treatment with individuals. She has also facilitated psychoeducational groups for teens and parents regarding emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. Agnes has organized and facilitated a weekly mindfulness group for teens as well as peer and parent support groups.

Agnes strives to improve the quality of life of individuals who struggle with daily functioning. Parent and family involvement in their children’s progress is crucial; therefore, Agnes strives to also work with parents to reinforce and continue to use insight gained from therapy at home. She also believes that treating the individual as a whole person, not just as the disorder they have been diagnosed with, is crucial to their development. Maintaining a therapeutic relationship that will provide growth for the individual is also essential in achieving one’s overall well-being. Agnes promotes mental wellness through empathy, evidence-based practices, and guiding individuals to reach their fullest potential through an authentic and transparent collaboration with her patients.
