Doctor Annie Stokesberry, PsyD
Dr. Annie Stokesberry, Psy.D. is a clinical psychologist who provides marital and family therapy, as well as individual psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Doctor Annie is a graduate of Roosevelt University in Chicago, and has more than 20 years of experience treating both children and adults in various settings; private practice, school environments, and inpatient facilities. Doctor Annie is a behavioral specialist and aids parents to utilize parenting strategies and to devise interventions to assist their child, who may have challenges with peers and academic pursuits, and to reinforce a positive response to rules and directions. Dr. Annie values individual perspectives and internal experiences. This curiosity has resulted in a unique ability to build meaningful connections which fosters trust and supports the process.
Dr. Annie has extensive specialized training and is considered an expert in the treatment of PTSD and trauma. She helps people of all ages begin to understand and regulate their individual nervous system impacted by traumatic life experiences. She also works with severe emotional behaviors such as ADHD, complex relational challenges, and identity development with young adults and adolescents. Doctor Annie has specialized training in progressive models in treatment such as Play Therapy and Sand Tray while also utilizing elements of ecotherapy and art therapy.
