Adila Kondic earned her medical degree at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. She earned an MS in Psychology: Clinical Counseling at
Rosalind Franklin University, North Chicago.
Given her combination of medical and psychological studies , she focuses
naturally on the connection of body and mind. She extended her knowledge of how psychosomatic illnesses are developing. One often reinforces the other, increasing symptoms, as these diseases are thought to be particularly prone to become worse when mental states such as stress and anxiety progresses in between.
Ada strives to offer her patients the opportunity to explore underlying
contributors to their mental states as well as their challenges of daily living. She values holding the session in safe non-judgmental environment using different scientifically based approaches to create treatments customized for them. This brings patients closer to their ideal wheel of health and wellness. Ada applies mindfulness and breathing techniques as well as other techniques to assist patients in being in present moment and to build tolerance, decrease resistance and to better manage problematic emotions. Ada’s goal is to help patients learn, identify and utilize their inner strength to make effective choices regarding their response toward specific circumstances to reinforce a positive wellbeing.
Ada’s wealth of experience and knowledge allowed her to work with
patients who were exposed to several traumas, such as domestic violence, sexual, physical or emotional abuse and neglect. She is experienced working with individuals, families or couples with mood disorders, personality disorders, addictions, eating disorders, grief, anxiety including phobias and issues related to effective interpersonal relationships.
